Shiela Esguerra
I’m Shiela Esguerra, an online counsellor based in Perth, Western Australia. Working collaboratively with clients has strengthened my ability to build trusting relationships, listen with empathy, and support people in recognising their strengths and working towards meaningful goals. I am passionate about creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
Counselling approach
My counselling approach is client-centred, collaborative, and grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine curiosity. I believe that each person is the expert in their own life, and I aim to provide a supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace and without fear of judgement.
I work alongside clients to build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and identify practical strategies that support meaningful and lasting change. I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-informed care and tailoring my approach to each person’s unique needs, experiences, and goals.
Who I support
I work with young adults and adults from all walks of life who may be experiencing challenges affecting their wellbeing, confidence, or sense of direction. I am particularly interested in supporting people who feel stuck, are navigating life transitions, or are looking to rebuild confidence, motivation, and purpose.
I value working with people from diverse backgrounds and aim to create an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and supportive counselling environment where every client feels respected, understood, and valued.
